It was the weekend. I can't remember if it was a Saturday or Sunday. The weather was good. I went to the shopping centre where I had previously acquired my first kumantong kid.
However I didn't feel good entering the shop. At that time I did not bring enough cash. So I tell myself that if I can find a red ATM machine, I would withdraw some money and then walk into the amulet store.
Couldn't find a red ATM machine! So I left the shopping centre.
I went to another shopping centre some distance away. This is where I had acquired my 2nd kumantong kid. I saw a kumantong amulet that I find attractive. The smile on the kid's face seemed genuinely happy. I also saw another amulet which I like.
I intend to get these 2 amulets.
But the salesman is rather not keen to serve me. He just sit at one side and chat with his colleague. So, I left the shop.
It is not a good day to adopt a kumantong kid.
When young boys, babies or unborn foetes met unexpected early death, and when their souls, for some reason, are stuck on earth and are roaming the streets, being homeless and hungry; some Buddhist monks in Thailand will invite these souls to accept the Buddha teaching and later invite them to reside in kumantong statue and amulet. Human can adopt these kumantong out of kindness and treat kumantong as adopted son and offer them shelter and food until the time when they are reincarnated.
