- Don't place the amulet/bucha/altar under the staircase
- Don't place the amulet/bucha/altar under/near the toilet
- Don't place the amulet/bucha/altar facing the west
- Don't place the amulet/bucha on the floor, place it on the altar
- Don't place under the bridge
- Don't place the amulet/bucha on the same level as Buddha/other Deities on the same altar
- Don't just adopt a kumantong and bring him home. Inform your house Guardian God first
- Don't just adopt another kumantong and bring him home. Inform first to those kumantong that you have adopted earlier.
- Don't have sexual activities in the room before telling the kumantong to leave the room
- Don't ignore the kumantong. The more you communicate with him the better.
- Don't spoil the kumantong. If he behave badly, tell him sternly not to repeat.
- Don't ask your kumantong to do evil thing
- Don't do evil thing in front of your kumantong or have evil thoughts. They will imitate.
When young boys, babies or unborn foetes met unexpected early death, and when their souls, for some reason, are stuck on earth and are roaming the streets, being homeless and hungry; some Buddhist monks in Thailand will invite these souls to accept the Buddha teaching and later invite them to reside in kumantong statue and amulet. Human can adopt these kumantong out of kindness and treat kumantong as adopted son and offer them shelter and food until the time when they are reincarnated.
