(Tracking) Daily sales increment with the fix periodic introduction of new kumantong into the store

I shall use a simplified method to illustrate the progress that I had witnessed.

Before anything was introduced to the store, we were selling about 2 to 4 apples per day.

Then one day I visited a Thai amulet store and the salesgirl there recommended a Phra Sivali amulet. Sivali was known to be well liked by the surrounding spirits who willingly provided food, medication, clothing and accommodation to Sivali and he will in turn redistribute these gifts to the people around him.

Coincidently our store managed to increase sale in about 2 months time. We managed to sell about 7 apples a day. There was no change in the store operation and we never do promotion or extend store hours. It is simply magical.

Soon I came across the topic of "kumantong" in one of the forum. Kumantong is common occurrences in shops throughout Thailand. I like the concept very much.

Curiosity and greed take over me.

Soon I adopted my first kumantong. At that time we were about to move to a new location. It is at an enclosed location with few offices and residences. The street is quiet during daytime. I thought sales would plunge.

We extended working hours at night. Sales climb to about 11 apples a day. I can't deny the longer store opening hours contributed a lot. But it is unfair to not acknowledge the contribution by the kumantong.

I have to think of an experiment to prove that the kumantong had contributed.

Will introducing a second kumantong push sales even higher? This time round we won't be extending the working hour.

So I went in search of my 2nd kumantong. I saw this kumantong that is holding a small weapon. It is unusual because most kumantong are holding a bag of gold or money.

I like this one. I adopted it and introduce it to the store. To give my 2 kumantong kids some support, I placed a LED signages at the strore front. About 3 weeks later, daily sales rise to about 16 apples.

I have a strong feeling that the 2 kumantong kids had contributed to sales increase.

Is it the satisfaction of achieving a goal or is it greed? I had a motivation to get more kumantong kids to further increase store sales.

It might be greed, so I told myself not to get anymore kumantong kids. They are not tools, they are like any other children, they have feeling too.

But a months later, while I was on the way to pray at the Kuan Yin temple, I walked past a store and it was displaying a tray of amulets on "clearance sale".

I picked up a kumantong amulet and it stunted my fingers with some kind of mild electric current. It is not the typical static current because the current continue to be there when I was holding it. I put it down and picked up other amulets but I don't feel any current from them.

I picked up the kumantong amulet again and was surprise that it is still giving out mild current to my fingers. I find it amazing so I acquire it. And I acquire it at a very attractive value. Clearance sale, remember?

I introduced the 3rd kumantong kid to the store. At the same time I also fixed a blue blinking light at the front of the store.

About 3 weeks later, daily sales climbed to about 21 apples. I am all smile.

A month later, after a meal, while I was searching for a toilet and couldn't find one after walking several blocks, I was led to a store and my eyes saw a kumantong amulet which I find very attractive and I acquire it.

I introduced the new kumantong to the store and to be fair, I fixed a color-changing LED strip at the front of the store. After about 3 to 4 weeks, daily sales had increased to about 30 apples.

The highest record was 35 apples a day.

Our store hour remain the same, and we don't do any promotion.

This sound too good to be true. If this is true, then I might as well acquire more and more kumantong, right?

Ball, stick, crocodile, large snake, small snake, mongoose

This is a strange dream. I was bringing my kumantong kids out for a meal. But from the food court I somehow walk off towards a bridge leading to a park.

I saw the green ball on the ground. The one that I bought for my kumantong kids.

Then it turn into huge stick which turn into a crocodile which later turn into a huge snake.

It felt like the changing object is trying to attack me.

Then came a smaller snake and a mongoose. These 2 animals were fighting with the huge snake.

The huge snake killed the smaller snake but in the end the mongoose killed the huge snake.

The mongoose was sad that his friend, the smaller snake, was dead.

I have no clue what this dream meant.

But the dream world is simply magical.

Humpty dumpty had a great fall

I brought the 5th kumantong to the store. In less than 5 minute BOOM... one of the staff had a great fall and bruise and cut himself near the stair beside the window.

Some time later we discovered that this staff had been stealing from the store and had been lying to me!

Well done, my 5th kid :)

Tell papa what toy you would like to have.

An old man wave at me while I went cycling with my kmt

I visited an amulet store near my house. The boss and his wife are rather friendly people. Then I saw a kumantong statue that looked like the one that I like a lot. I mean I really like it a lot.

Went through the shelves several time, chatted with the lady store owner for a long while and still can't get the kumantong out of my mind. In the end, I invited this baby home.

This is the 5th kumantong kid that I had adopted.

I decided to bring all my 5 kids to the Thai Buddhist temple to seek the monk there to bless my 5 kids. This should make these kids very happy :)

To top it up, I will ride my bicycle to the temple and after that I will bring them to the beach. We will ride the bike along the beach. It will be a family outing at the beach :)

The dark cloud was threatening a heavy downpour but I made a prayer and told heaven that this will be a rare trip for the kumantong kids and it will be the first trip for my 5th kid. I seek heaven for some compassion for these kids.

We rode along the beach happily. The cloud block the sun and the heat, making the weather cool. The scenery is nice. I wanted to treat the kids to a nice meal but the sky was really cloudy so we skip meal.

On the way home, we ride through a park. There were kids and dogs there. I asked my kumantong to wave at them. I was hoping to see some response from them. None responded.

Then I saw an old man jogged towards us and he waved his hand at me. I slowed down and look around and there was no one else around. Obviously he is waving at me. I smiled at him and rode off.

Can the old man see the kumantong waving at him?

??? ??? ???

Heaven was kind to these kids. The dark cloud never leave but the rain was delayed. It didn't rain throughout the trip. It only started drizzling when I reached my house, after that came the heavy downpour. Thanks heaven.

It was a happy day.

Testing that black dog's response

I went to the pet shop again with my luggage. This time I had left all my kumantong kids at home. I had told them not to follow me but to stay home.

In this experiment, I want to find out how the black dog (if it is still in the pet store) will respond to my luggage.

If the black dog ignore my luggage, it means the absence of kumantong cause disinterest in the black dog.

If it bark at my luggage, it means there is something else about the luggage that trigger the black dog to go beserk.

~~~~~~~ and the result is ~~~~~~~
The black dog barked at my luggage like a mad dog!
What could have caused that?
I searched my luggage thoroughly and found ... a talisman.
It is a talisman that I get from Kuan Yin temple at Si-ma-lo near Bugis street.
But I thought it has 'expired'.
Maybe there is something else?
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Yesterday (5 Jan 2016) I went to the pet shop again, with the same luggage. There were 3 white Terrier puppies staring and barking wildly at my luggage. They were jumping excitingly while all other dogs had no response. Quite embarrass to create a big stir so I leave the area immediately. I was carrying a Hoon Pa Yon and Phra Sivali in the luggage.
Just another observation. No conclusion.
New records for daily sales transaction
The old daily sales record was broken last night, this is a surprise as I had asked all my kumantong kids to go out and play instead of staying in the shop to help out to attract customers into the store.
I was in a bad mood so I gave the kumantong kids a break. I told them they can go anywhere and do anything during their time off. This is rare as I usually will not allow all the kumantong kids to go out at the same time.
Without any kumantong assistance, I expect sales to drop. But the opposite happened.
Other factors that could have an effect would be:
  • Burning of fragrant incense during the day. The first time I do this in the shop.
  • Show my sis a picture of one of my kumantong kids and intro him to her.
  • Standing my ground during an argument with mom. Usually I will let her win.
  • Playing older songs. Maybe the helpful ghosts love them!
A row of luggages
I had this dream last night. I saw a row of luggage. Felt like they belong to my kumantong kids and they wanted to go for a holiday.
I told them that I can only bring them to Thailand or Malaysia if they help me to strike lottery with a winning prize that is more than the cost of the holiday. I told them many months ago.
Or maybe they just want to play with their toy aeroplane?
Or they don't want to stay with me and wanted to leave me?
They happened again. Nice coincidences.
1.) I visited the pet shop again. There is a black terrier there. It might be the same black dog that I saw 3 weeks ago. Again it barked and gone berserk and kept staring at my bag in which I placed my kumantong amulets. I did the 2-step-forward-1-step-back dance routine to tease the black dog. It completely ignored all other customers in the shop and kept focusing on my bag.
2.) I went to Orchard road for a walk. I enjoy looking at the nice buildings there. I also took the opportunity to shop at the toy stores. One of the kumantong kids is asking for a red racing bike and I am searching for it. And I was rewarded, though I haven't found a suitable red toy bike from about 10 stores that sell toys. I bumped into an ex-colleague that I liked a lot. Her name is Cherlyn. At the crowded Chinese New Year bazaar, I met her!!! That night we crossed path 3 times at the shopping center!
I can't prove that kumantong kids have anything to do with the above coincidences though I wish that that's that.
Nice coincidences do happened again!
Knocking things off people's hand
This happened 3 times. It could be coincidences.
1.) I was offering coke drinks to my kumantong when a customer walk in to buy yakult yogurt drinks. The yakult somehow slipped off from the customer's hand and fall on the floor and made a big splash at a location in front of where I had placed my kumantong amulet. It is already well-known that kumantong loves yogurt milk drinks. Is this a coincident or not?
2.) Someone just took out a bottle of sprite lime/lemon soft-drinks from the fridge and the green plastic bottle suddenly fell off and hit the floor so hard that it breaks apart and the drinks splashed everywhere. Maybe kumantong also loves lime/lemon juice! Or maybe they like the green bottle?
(It is very rare for customers to drop the cans/bottles that they took out from the fridge and very unusual for small plastic bottle to break apart)
3.) I was holding a bottle of baby powder when I asked the kumantong what kind of toys they liked. Then I lost grip of the bottle and it fell on the desk, where I had placed my kumantong amulets, their toys and candies. Kumantong babies love baby powder too!
~~~~~ update 12 April 2015 ~~~~~
This had occurred several times. After drinking mineral water, while closing the bottle cap, it will drop from my fingers.

Usually I will leave the cap on the table with the thought that the kumantong kids can drink directly from the open bottle. Perhaps that is why they prevented me from putting the bottle cap on. Just a thought.

Can I make a new friend? Can I make another new friend? (request from the invisible kid)

This happen a few days after I got my 4th kumantong kid. In this dream I can see myself laying and sleeping. Then something is tugging on my pants and asking me if he can make a new friend. But I can not see anyone. An invisible being is asking me for the permission. I replied and say that he can make new friend but cannot bring his new friend home.

After a while, the invisible being tug at my pants again and ask the same question. I quickly replied the same as I was feeling tired and do not want anyone to disturb my sleep.

Very soon, the invisible being came back to make the same request again. And I responded in the same way.

This repeated about 5 or 6 times until I felt so frustrated that I wake up and tell all my kumantong kids nicely (since they are only young boys) that they can make new friends outside but they must not bring anyone or anything like insect, animal etc. back into the house.

It was only after a while that I realized that the 4th kumantong kid does not have any physical appearance or image. Does it mean that he is an aborted baby spirit? I can only guess so.

In another dream, there is also an invisible being crawling on the floor and eating the cat food. I first thought that it must be a cat spirit. On the other hand I also suspected that the invisible being is my 4th kumantong kid.

Caught the attention of black dog and puppies

I landed at the ferry terminal safely after an hour boat ride on a sunny afternoon. I was carrying a small luggage. My 3 kumantong amulets are in the luggage. I have a hoon payong amulet in my pants pocket. There is a pet shop near the ferry terminal with many cute puppies. I love to visit that pet shop.

I tow my luggage behind me into the shop. There is a black dog among the puppies and it started barking at my luggage. My luggage is about half a meter away from me when I tow it. I move 3 steps forward and the black puppy also followed. It keep staring at my luggage and keep on barking. I walked 3 steps backward and the puppy followed. The barking continues. However the 3 white Labradors nearby showed no interest at all.

2 other white puppies also started barking at my luggage when I walked past them. They behaved like the black dog, following and barking at my luggage. And I was enjoying myself doing the 2-step-forward-2-step back dance routine. I didn't realize dogs can react so wildly at the sight of a plain black luggage. On the other hand several puppies are playing with their toys and couldn't be bothered.

Today I learned that some dogs will react and bark at kumantong spirits but other dogs are just not interested and will simply ignore.

On many other occasions, I noticed that cats ignore kumantong too.

Fireman rescue chair

In this dream, my sister told me the secret to success. She taught me how to build the fireman rescue chair which the fireman carried at his back while rescuing victim, to allow the victim to sit on it and strapped onto it while the fireman piggy-back the chair out of the burning building.

Instead of building it from scratch, I should simply get any wooden dining chair and saw off 3/4 of the chair's legs. This method would be the fastest and cheapest.

~ End of dream ~

In a half dreamy state, I started to analyze the dream. What is the message behind the dream?

Did my 3rd kumantong died from a house fire?

Wait a minute... wooden chair should not be used because it will catch fire!

Wait .. wait .. Something is wrong with the dream... what is it???

I know.. I know it .. there is no such thing as a "fireman chair". The fireman carry oxygen tank on their back and will carry fire victim on their arms!

The message is not about the chair.

Is the "fireman" coming to remove the disaster that had been plaque-ing my life?

The dream world is similar to reality but is actually quite different.
