靠神不如靠人,靠人不如靠己 There is no immediate, instant solution ... most of the time.

If you don't prepare yourself to face problems in life and suddenly a problem arrived, then you will have to depend on your luck or the people around you to get around the problem.

A. 靠神不如靠人
The spirit stuffs e.g. ghosts/gods may or may not be present and is not 100% dependable. For example during the yearly haze period, in those 3 months none of the gods/ghosts/angels/fairies/devils have the power to defeat the human that are burning the forest.

It is advisable to build close relationship with family members and friends and help each other during difficult time.

B. 靠人不如靠己
In some cases, even your close friends & family members can't help you. In other cases, they can help but are unable to immediately help you.

So build up skills that can help you to handle different situations and emergency situations in life. Don't wait til it happen.

Save up some money. Exercise to build up strength and stamina. Tame your ego and learn to force yourself to smile in difficult situations.

If a smile can solve a problem, that is great. Else use money to solve it and avoid confrontation. If not, then either give it a good fight, or flee if you are weaker than the enemy.

1 defeat is just 1 defeat. The sun rises again the next morning. Everyone around you face defeat, very often, throughout their life.

If u learn a lesson from the defeat, u become wiser and more experience in life. You become a better and stronger person.

C.
If all things fail, just retreat & have a good rest. Time will pass and heal your wound. Time will always pass. Nobody can stop time. Just keep yourself busy at work and time will pass quickly without you knowing it.

君子报仇十年不晚

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't spend crazy amount of money to 'buy' protection or blessing from spirits/gods. They are just the ghost of dead people. In comparison, they are similar to the ghosts of your great grandparents.
(Tracking) Daily sales increment with the fix periodic introduction of new kumantong into the store
I shall use a simplified method to illustrate the progress that I had witnessed.
Before anything was introduced to the store, we were selling about 2 to 4 apples per day.
Then one day I visited a Thai amulet store and the salesgirl there recommended a Phra Sivali amulet. Sivali was known to be well liked by the surrounding spirits who willingly provided food, medication, clothing and accommodation to Sivali and he will in turn redistribute these gifts to the people around him.
Coincidently our store managed to increase sale in about 2 months time. We managed to sell about 7 apples a day. There was no change in the store operation and we never do promotion or extend store hours. It is simply magical.
Soon I came across the topic of "kumantong" in one of the forum. Kumantong is common occurrences in shops throughout Thailand. I like the concept very much.
Curiosity and greed take over me.
Soon I adopted my first kumantong. At that time we were about to move to a new location. It is at an enclosed location with few offices and residences. The street is quiet during daytime. I thought sales would plunge.
We extended working hours at night. Sales climb to about 11 apples a day. I can't deny the longer store opening hours contributed a lot. But it is unfair to not acknowledge the contribution by the kumantong.
I have to think of an experiment to prove that the kumantong had contributed.
Will introducing a second kumantong push sales even higher? This time round we won't be extending the working hour.
So I went in search of my 2nd kumantong. I saw this kumantong that is holding a small weapon. It is unusual because most kumantong are holding a bag of gold or money.
I like this one. I adopted it and introduce it to the store. To give my 2 kumantong kids some support, I placed a LED signages at the strore front. About 3 weeks later, daily sales rise to about 16 apples.
I have a strong feeling that the 2 kumantong kids had contributed to sales increase.
Is it the satisfaction of achieving a goal or is it greed? I had a motivation to get more kumantong kids to further increase store sales.
It might be greed, so I told myself not to get anymore kumantong kids. They are not tools, they are like any other children, they have feeling too.
But a months later, while I was on the way to pray at the Kuan Yin temple, I walked past a store and it was displaying a tray of amulets on "clearance sale".
I picked up a kumantong amulet and it stunted my fingers with some kind of mild electric current. It is not the typical static current because the current continue to be there when I was holding it. I put it down and picked up other amulets but I don't feel any current from them.
I picked up the kumantong amulet again and was surprise that it is still giving out mild current to my fingers. I find it amazing so I acquire it. And I acquire it at a very attractive value. Clearance sale, remember?
I introduced the 3rd kumantong kid to the store. At the same time I also fixed a blue blinking light at the front of the store.
About 3 weeks later, daily sales climbed to about 21 apples. I am all smile.
A month later, after a meal, while I was searching for a toilet and couldn't find one after walking several blocks, I was led to a store and my eyes saw a kumantong amulet which I find very attractive and I acquire it.
I introduced the new kumantong to the store and to be fair, I fixed a color-changing LED strip at the front of the store. After about 3 to 4 weeks, daily sales had increased to about 30 apples.
The highest record was 35 apples a day.
Our store hour remain the same, and we don't do any promotion.
This sound too good to be true. If this is true, then I might as well acquire more and more kumantong, right?
Ball, stick, crocodile, large snake, small snake, mongoose
This is a strange dream. I was bringing my kumantong kids out for a meal. But from the food court I somehow walk off towards a bridge leading to a park.
I saw the green ball on the ground. The one that I bought for my kumantong kids.
Then it turn into huge stick which turn into a crocodile which later turn into a huge snake.
It felt like the changing object is trying to attack me.
Then came a smaller snake and a mongoose. These 2 animals were fighting with the huge snake.
The huge snake killed the smaller snake but in the end the mongoose killed the huge snake.
The mongoose was sad that his friend, the smaller snake, was dead.
I have no clue what this dream meant.
But the dream world is simply magical.
Humpty dumpty had a great fall
I brought the 5th kumantong to the store. In less than 5 minute BOOM... one of the staff had a great fall and bruise and cut himself near the stair beside the window.
Some time later we discovered that this staff had been stealing from the store and had been lying to me!
Well done, my 5th kid :)
Tell papa what toy you would like to have.
An old man wave at me while I went cycling with my kmt
I visited an amulet store near my house. The boss and his wife are rather friendly people. Then I saw a kumantong statue that looked like the one that I like a lot. I mean I really like it a lot.
Went through the shelves several time, chatted with the lady store owner for a long while and still can't get the kumantong out of my mind. In the end, I invited this baby home.
This is the 5th kumantong kid that I had adopted.
I decided to bring all my 5 kids to the Thai Buddhist temple to seek the monk there to bless my 5 kids. This should make these kids very happy :)
To top it up, I will ride my bicycle to the temple and after that I will bring them to the beach. We will ride the bike along the beach. It will be a family outing at the beach :)
The dark cloud was threatening a heavy downpour but I made a prayer and told heaven that this will be a rare trip for the kumantong kids and it will be the first trip for my 5th kid. I seek heaven for some compassion for these kids.
We rode along the beach happily. The cloud block the sun and the heat, making the weather cool. The scenery is nice. I wanted to treat the kids to a nice meal but the sky was really cloudy so we skip meal.
On the way home, we ride through a park. There were kids and dogs there. I asked my kumantong to wave at them. I was hoping to see some response from them. None responded.
Then I saw an old man jogged towards us and he waved his hand at me. I slowed down and look around and there was no one else around. Obviously he is waving at me. I smiled at him and rode off.
Can the old man see the kumantong waving at him?
??? ??? ???
Heaven was kind to these kids. The dark cloud never leave but the rain was delayed. It didn't rain throughout the trip. It only started drizzling when I reached my house, after that came the heavy downpour. Thanks heaven.
It was a happy day.
Testing that black dog's response
I went to the pet shop again with my luggage. This time I had left all my kumantong kids at home. I had told them not to follow me but to stay home.
In this experiment, I want to find out how the black dog (if it is still in the pet store) will respond to my luggage.
If the black dog ignore my luggage, it means the absence of kumantong cause disinterest in the black dog.
If it bark at my luggage, it means there is something else about the luggage that trigger the black dog to go beserk.
~~~~~~~ and the result is ~~~~~~~

The black dog barked at my luggage like a mad dog!

What could have caused that?

I searched my luggage thoroughly and found ... a talisman.

It is a talisman that I get from Kuan Yin temple at Si-ma-lo near Bugis street.

But I thought it has 'expired'.

Maybe there is something else?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Yesterday (5 Jan 2016) I went to the pet shop again, with the same luggage. There were 3 white Terrier puppies staring and barking wildly at my luggage. They were jumping excitingly while all other dogs had no response. Quite embarrass to create a big stir so I leave the area immediately. I was carrying a Hoon Pa Yon and Phra Sivali in the luggage.

Just another observation. No conclusion.
